SAP is the Standard Assessment Procedure for Energy Rating of Dwellings. SAP Appendix Q allows the energy performance of technologies to be evaluated.
The ProAir 600 HRV unit is listed on SAP Appendix Q. The results from tests carried out on the ProAir 600 unit are as follows.
Efficiency of up to 90 percent
Specific fan power down to 0.09 W/l/s
These figures will be needed if you are planning to get a Building Energy Rating (BER) on your home.
These figures are for rigid ductwork only and cannot be used if installed with flexible ductwork. With flexible ducting the efficiency of the system will drop and the power consuming will rise.
