Central Extract Ventilation

Our central extract ventilation system or controlled extract ventilation system is an ideal way of removing the water vapour that builds up in the wet areas of your home, thus preventing condensation and mould.

Easy to install and maintain, the central extract unit is normally placed in the attic with ducts running to all the wet areas (kitchen, utility and bathrooms) of your home.

The system that we use runs at a continuous low rate providing a proper level of ventilation all the time. It has a built-in humidity sensor which senses the build up of water vapour in your home - the central extract unit will automatically boost when it senses the build up of moisture.

Our central extract ventilation system is ideal for both new and existing homes and also small commercial buildings. For homes that are not airtight this is the best means of ventilation. If your home is air tight you should consider installing a Heat Recovery Ventilation System.

Please note that if you do decide to install a central extract system you will need to fit each habitable room (sitting, living and bedrooms) with a supply vent in the wall or window. Standard wall vents are not efficient and will create unwanted drafts.

We can supply you with an efficient wall vent that will reduce this problem. It has a humidity sensor built into it that will open and close depending on the level of moisture in the room.
